The 1824 House Inn, has long been a treasured event location in the Mad River Valley. When we opened The Barn Door Restaurant, we created another unique venue for brides and other visitors. Ambiance- Our versatile property can be arranged to fit your taste. Our extensive grounds offer both a hillside ceremony sight with views of the Mad River Valley and a secluded river-front pasture. We often raise tents in our beautiful back yard, and the barn’s rustic construction allows for a casual or elegant feel. Distinctive table linens are an expression of your style, and we offer the largest selection of specialty table linens in the state of Vermont. Food- Like your dress, your flowers and the favors you choose for your guests, the food at your wedding is an expression of who you are. Whether you’re hosting a barbeque or a five course meal, our experienced chefs are here to make sure it is of superior quality.
